A hacker group calling itself Cyberleek has escalated the ongoing GTA 6 leaks, releasing gameplay videos and map footage that appear to show Rockstar Games’ highly anticipated title, Grand Theft Auto VI.

The material began circulating on August 18 and has reportedly continued to appear across multiple days. The leaked footage includes gameplay involving protagonist Jason, along with vehicles, combat, sports activities and aircraft.

The latest developments have raised further questions about the extent of Cyberleek’s access to the game ahead of its scheduled release.

What Has Appeared in the GTA 6 Leaks?

The leaked material reportedly shows Jason playing basketball, driving vehicles, fighting non-player characters and flying an aircraft over Vice City.

Another significant leak appears to show a large portion of the game’s map. The footage reportedly depicts the fictional state of Leonida, including five counties and an extensive railway network.

The most notable material surfaced on August 20. In the clip, Jason reportedly uses rifle fire to spell “LEEK” on a wall. The apparent in-game interaction has been cited as evidence that the group has access to a functioning build rather than simply possessing previously recorded footage.

According to reporting from IGN, the leaked material had appeared for a third consecutive day.

Cyberleek’s Demands

Cyberleek has also published a manifesto outlining its complaints about what it considers anti-consumer practices within the gaming industry.

The group’s demands reportedly focus on three areas:

  • Ending digital pre-orders
  • Avoiding what it describes as “fake single-player DLC”
  • Preserving offline single-player content

Cyberleek says it will continue its campaign until Rockstar makes a public commitment addressing these demands.

The group is also promoting a cryptocurrency token that it claims will support a project related to gamers’ rights. The cryptocurrency element has attracted skepticism and remains a separate claim made by the group.

Take-Two Shares Decline Amid the Leaks

The GTA 6 leaks have also coincided with a decline in the share price of Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar Games’ parent company.

According to the reports provided, Take-Two shares fell from roughly $248 on August 18 to around $233 on August 20, representing a decline of approximately 5%.

The drop corresponded to billions of dollars in market value, with estimates putting the reduction at roughly $2.8 billion.

However, the timing of the decline does not establish that the leaks themselves caused the entire stock-market movement. Share prices can be affected by multiple factors.

Rockstar Responds With Copyright Takedowns

Rockstar Games has not publicly issued a detailed statement about the Cyberleek campaign. Instead, leaked videos have reportedly been subject to copyright takedown requests.

The approach has struggled to prevent the material from spreading, with removed clips reportedly reappearing elsewhere.

The timing makes the situation particularly notable. Rockstar is scheduled to present “GTA 6: An Extended Look” on Netflix on August 27, according to the information surrounding the upcoming presentation.

The game is currently scheduled to launch on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.

Why the GTA 6 Leaks Matter

The latest material is significant because it appears to go beyond isolated screenshots or short clips. Gameplay footage, map information and the apparent demonstration involving Jason provide a broader look at Rockstar’s upcoming open-world game.

At the same time, leaked footage should be treated cautiously. Pre-release game builds can contain unfinished features, temporary assets, bugs and content that may change before launch.

The leaks therefore do not necessarily represent the final version of Grand Theft Auto VI.
