Abhishek reached his half-century in just 18 balls, helping India establish a strong platform.

However, West Indies regained control when Roston Chase dismissed Kishan and captain Shreyas Iyer in the ninth over.

Abhishek was also dismissed shortly afterwards, leaving India needing contributions from their middle order.

The visitors needed 224 runs to win, setting up another high-scoring contest between the two teams.

West Indies Fight Back Through Hetmyer and Pooran

West Indies began their chase with an early setback as Arshdeep Singh dismissed captain Shai Hope for five in the second over.

Shimron Hetmyer and Kamil Pooran then put India under pressure with an attacking 60-run partnership.

Naman Dhir dismissed both batters, providing India with important breakthroughs.

Axar Patel also removed Rovman Powell for five, preventing West Indies from building another substantial partnership.

Arshdeep Singh’s Three Wickets Strengthen India’s Position

Arshdeep Singh played a decisive role in India’s bowling performance, finishing with figures of 3/44.

After removing Hope early, the left-arm pacer returned during the closing overs and dismissed Keemo Paul and Sherfane Rutherford.

Both wickets came in the 18th over, significantly reducing West Indies’ chances of reaching the target.

Nitish Kumar Reddy also made an important contribution, dismissing Quentin Sampson for 21. He completed his bowling spell with figures of 1/19.

With West Indies requiring 48 runs from the final two overs, India held a strong advantage.

Shamar Springer produced an aggressive unbeaten innings of 35 runs from just 11 deliveries.

He scored 22 runs in the final over, but the visitors could not overcome the large target.

West Indies eventually finished on 209/7, falling 14 runs short.
